Golf

Golf doesn't have to be a "good walk spoiled".

While some of us will certainly disagree with the message in Mark Twain's famous quote about golf, the truth is that he hit the part about golf being a "walk" right on the head. In fact, eighteen holes on an average course work out to be about a 4-mile walk. When we also consider how much balance affects our power, accuracy, and grip, we start to realize just how important a role our feet play in a round on the links.

It's unfortunate then, that a game that relies to so much on feet tends to take such a strong physical toll on them. Walking on uneven surfaces and sudden weight shifts contribute to muscular misalignment that affects your feet, back, and knees. Bad alignment causes joints to get sore, and your ability to swing suffers, directly affecting your score. If left unchecked, these factors can lead to a frustrating experience on the course.

But if you have a bad experience on the course, what's the use in going at all? At The Balanced Athlete, our ultimate focus is improving your experience on the course by eliminating the factors above. Customized insets can improve lower body alignment, restoring and maintaining natural balance within your body. The result is more power, more control, and fewer aches and pains - all of which lead to better scores and a more satisfying experience.

Maybe Mark Twain was a little pessimistic when he spoke of golf - or maybe he just wore bad shoes. Either way, we all know that a good walk gets a lot better when you can find a place to lose a few strokes along the way.
